Profiles in Confidence: Shauna Niequest

Profiles in Confidence Shauna Niequest

We hosted New York Times Best Selling Author, Shauna Niequest at our home office last month to help inspire and encourage our team.  Shauna has been a wonderful friend to Evereve through the years and we always love it when she is willing to share her wisdom with us.  She sat down with our co-founder and co-CEO, Megan, to talk all things confidence.

What does confidence mean to you?

How do you do the internal work that is necessary to grow confidence?

How can we play a part in our friend’s confidence and how do they play a role in our confidence?

How are confidence and authenticity related?

What are some of the things you practice to help you live authentically?

How are confidence and fashion related?

How does perfectionism impact a person’s confidence?

How do you make room for the importance of relationships in your life?

We are big readers here at Evereve and are always looking for good book recommendations.  What are some of the best books you have read recently?

What was your favorite piece of wisdom that Shauna shared?

I love this interview and had a few nuggets that I took away:

1. “Confidence is an inside job” – Great reminder!
2. A way to build up others is to pick 5 people and acknowledge something brave they’ve done or obstacle they overcame.
3. “Fashion tells people who you are w/o words.” – Could agree more and love the focus on authenticity not presenting a mirage

Great interview with Shauna! I could have listened to an hour of her and Megan!
