Two Ways to Beat the Heat Now

red and blue floral maxi dress by the pool

Hey gang! How was your long weekend? Temps have been topping 90º around here, so we’ve been getting creative about what to wear to stay cool without sacrificing style.

There are two things to keep in mind when it’s hot enough to fry an egg outside—fabric and fit!

Lightweight and breathable fabrics are a no-brainer when it comes to keeping cool. ✅  Fit is equally important, and not necessarily something everyone thinks about right away, but extra fabric and baggy clothes will only make you hotter in a steamy situation. And anything that’s too tight or too small will cling and cause the dreaded chafing. ✅

Don’t sweat it! Here are two summer looks we love that can take the heat! ?

Shop the look: Free People Maxi Dress (3 colors) | Thirty-Nine 42 Earrings

Why we love it: Keeps you cool (super breathable and doesn’t cling) while still offering some coverage. The smocked bodice gives you the perfect fit on top—no bra needed—and the easy skirt lets a breeze in. Free People is known for fun statement dresses, and this one is perfect for casual pool days and Saturday night out.

Shop the look: Allison Joy Tank | Free People Bralette | Hudson Shorts (bestseller) | Thirty-Nine 42 Bracelets (coral, white, turquoise, pink)

Why we love it: Super easy and causal while still looking put-together. The tank is stretchy with adjustable straps for the perfect fit, and the lightweight denim shorts are roomy through the hips and thighs (no riding up!). The rainbow tank is by Allison Joy, one of our top-selling brands, designed in house and known for flattering fits!
